Tech 2000 Will Offer Training at MEF17
IT training and learning systems company Tech 2000 Inc. will be providing its services at the upcoming MEF17 event. The gathering, staged by the Metro Ethernet Forum, is scheduled for Nov. 13 through 16 in Orlando.
MEF17 is focused on what MEF calls Third Network connectivity and cloud services for the digital economy and the hyper-connected world. In this world, MEF says, agile, assured, and orchestrated services provide an on-demand experience with user-directed control over service capabilities. And all that runs on automated, interconnected, and virtualized networks based on Carrier Ethernet 2.0, lifecycle service orchestration, network functions virtualization, and software-defined networking technologies.
"We are proud to be a MEF accredited training provider," said Kevin Marz, Director of Training and Development at Tech 2000. "Throughout our many years with MEF, we have had the opportunity to educate countless communications professionals. Together, Tech 2000 and MEF are well poised to address the skills challenge in getting professionals ready for this new world of software-driven networking. We look forward to providing the MEF-CECP and MEF-TNF one-day training at MEF17."
In other recent news from the MEF, the group recently asserted itself in the growing SD-WAN space by defining this technology, discussing SD-WAN use cases, and announcing plans to deliver application programming interfaces that can help connect SD-WAN orchestrators to carriers’ modernized billing and operational support systems.
“To meet these demands and remain competitive, service providers are looking to integrate SD-WAN into a portfolio of orchestrated services delivered in a seamless, automated fashion,” MEF CTO Pascal Menezes noted. “MEF is uniquely positioned to bring together managed service providers, orchestration experts, and SD-WAN vendors to address this challenge and accelerate SD-WAN managed service deployments on behalf of the enterprises.”
